The IEEE WF-IoT 2020 is calling for proposals for demos that will be held during the conference. The demo consists of demonstrations of innovations done by research and engineering groups in the field in industry, academia and governmental institutes. The demonstrations can be related to any of the technical areas of IoT, as defined in the Call for Papers of IEEE WF-IoT 2020.

The Demo sessions will provide a forum to present and discuss prototypes, industry demonstrations of new applications and techniques, practical implementations, research test-beds and demonstrations, recent research/implementation results, and student senior year projects. One of the key goals of this conference is to foster collaboration between industry and academia. Hence, the participation of researchers/senior year students/developers is especially encouraged.

Demonstration submissions will be held as a short paper/abstract describing a prototype system and/or an interesting implementation concept as well as the merits of the proposed ideas. They should also include:

  • The space requirements and/or any other equipment-specific requirements.
  • Proposals will be evaluated mainly based on their potential to stimulate interesting discussions, exchange ideas and promote collaborations.
  • Submissions should not be more than two pages (preferably IEEE conference format, 2-column) in length.
  • The documents must contain the authors’ names, affiliations, and contact information and the designated corresponding author.

Accepted demos will have a space in the demo session room to exhibit their demos and describe their work in discussions with interested attendees. Moreover, the abstract of the accepted posters/demos will appear in IEEE Xplore. Conference policy allows accepted demos to have a reduced registration.
